Please complete the application form and provide evidence of all qualifications including membership of professional bodies (photocopies will be sufficient).

In addition, please send the following

  • Contact details of two referees, who have up-to-date knowledge of your career - the referees must be listed in Section 8 of your application form.
  • Four passport-size photographs.
  • Indicate in Section 5 of the application form whether or not you have a confirmed business school place, the name of the school and start date.
  • Indicate the length of course (e.g. 1 year full-time MBA).
  • In Section 6, any additional information concerning your job description should be attached on a separate sheet. You should emphasise the job's level of responsibility within the organisation, the size of any budget under your control and the number of people reporting directly to you.
  • In Section 9, emphasis should be placed on extra-curricular activities.
  • Return your completed application form by pressing the button below.  All other materials should be sent directly via post to Ian Bowbrick, The Royal Academy of Engineering, 3 Carlton House Terrace, Westminster, London SW1Y 5DG.
  • Receipt of your application form will be acknowledged immediately. Please allow a couple of weeks for your application to be processed. You will then be advised as to whether you are to be invited for an interview.
  • There is considerable pressure on the application procedure for both the business schools and the SMF Scheme.  Candidates  should apply as early as possible, ideally four months before the start date of the course.
